hello all :)
I am making a very important announcement :) (I’m using tumblr because, for some reason, I’ve been told by a few people that they are following my blog, which is very humbling, because I’ve only recently begun using it as an actual blog.)
But, that’s not what this post is about.
I’m here to challenge you and possibly embarrass my boyfriend.
If any of you know Caleb, you know that he’s got the craziest story (involves surviving cancer, serving as the fsu garnet guy for 2 years, and travelling the world just because he feels like it) and God’s not done with him yet. In fact, Caleb was recently given a leadership role in a company that needs your help.
For years, Caleb has taken missions trips to Nicaragua with the same ministry, WeGo, that sponsors an orphanage there. The way they fund the orphanage is they hire nicaraguan farmers, who would be farming anyways, to grow coffee that can be sold in America for substantially more money. ALL of the proceeds go to funding the orphanage and taking kids off the street to educate, feed, and house them. All in the name of Jesus. This is a non-profit, and no one is ciphening money out for themselves to make a profit, so hush if you think i’m trying to get my boyfran money so he can buy me stuff ;) haha. Because really, he’s not getting paid. At this very moment, Caleb has bags and bags of coffee to sell you people so he can send those kids some cash-monies.
This is the next cool part. The coffee is actually delicious. For coffee fanatics, it’s a dark Arabica blend and something something yada yada, they are working on getting certified as an official organic coffee company.
You can buy this coffee for 10 bucks a bag, which…. let’s put it this way. The $5 you pay at starbucks is made with like a sprinkling of coffee grounds, so think of how much you will save by making your own. And if you’re really disappointed that its ground coffee instead of a frappucino, I’ll learn how to make specialty coffee drinks and we can have a coffee making party at your house with the bag of Nicaraguan coffee you so wisely invested in. :)
Caleb is kinda straddling life between Tallahassee and Cocoa Beach, which is where WeGo is operated from, but if you want some coffee and live in Alaska, we can get it to you. You can contact me if you’re interested and I will give you his information.
This post is, as titled, a shameless plug for New Earth Goods, which is the name of this company. Please please please consider buying some coffee and making a legitimate impact on the lives of real children who, without your help, could very easily go hungry.
This is not a donation, it’s a sweet new business, and you will get more than your ten dollars worth :) I can assure you. Plus, the guy running the coffee thing is super cute.
